Because that’s what birds do?
Does inspiration react
To an equal and opposite action
Like a physics equation?
Can an event write it for you
If it truly moves you?
Does the prose expose your earthly soul
Or make your alien parts particularly present
In the presence of others?
Can your hand and your mind
Work together in kind
Like kin on a whim
To whip up new worlds?
If you please
Can you write with ease
Expressing ideas exquisitely?
