Missing is a form of love
To miss the life I knew before
We were locked inside our houses for
The unknowable future maybe more
Missing is a form of love
Like missing the dark when you’re sad
The flowers came out even tho you feel bad
They forgot to mourn even a tad
Missing is a form of love
In the strange new world we live
There is no physical time you can give
To those you don’t live with so forgive
Me when I say
Missing is a form of love
Normalcy went up in flames
Life, will it ever be the same?
Betting on our future like a game
45 eliminating protections and he’s to blame
Missing is a form of love
Missing times of leadership we could trust
If you thought big government was bad, smalls a bust
And it left us in the dust
Cutting corners to enrich the corrupt
Missing is a form of love
Like missing being busy every day
Walking miles to work to earn my pay
Steadily making an impact through yoga play
And now what can I say?
